This Temple Bell is a replica of a style that was made during the Ming Dynasty. As with many ancient bells, it features different symbols of animals, which were believed to dispel evil spirits. It is also are inscribed with Chinese writing - which traditionally portrayed poems, and the names and history of ancestors.
