The Lo Pan (Feng Shui compass) is used as a focal point for Chi (life force energy), which is constantly pouring from the four directions (N,S,E,W). The compass is used by redirecting the path of both positive and negative Chi, to create a harmonious environment. This Lo Pan is perfect for beginners - excellent for finding each direction, and also for beginning to understand the flow of chi throughout a particular space. The compass is made of wood, with a metal plate containing traditional Chinese characters. These markings symbolize the five elements, the twelve signs of the Chinese zodiac, and other traditional symbols of Feng Shui. The center shows markings of 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees around the dial. This Lo Pan has a freely moving needle; the red side indicates South, and white indicates North.
